Our Mission

The mission of Little Lambs Mother’s Day Out Program is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children to grow, learn, and play. We strive to create a foundation that enables our students to develop the self-confidence they need in order to feel positive about school while also instilling a love for learning at an early age.

Our Philosophy

Little Lambs Mother’s Day Out is designed for infants ages three months to Pre-K4. Each student is valued as an individual. We believe a child learns through his/her experiences, and we encourage our students to follow their natural curiosity as they explore with educational toys, arts & crafts materials, and books in their classrooms. We engage students in structured activities that are age and developmentally appropriate so they can learn important social skills such as sharing, following directions, and working as a team. As they learn about the world around them through stories, songs, artwork, and dramatic play, our students also learn about themselves and how they relate to others. These lessons shape children’s confidence, character, and sense of “self” which are perhaps some of the most important elements in which they may become lifelong learners and leaders.

Purpose of Our Ministry

Little Lambs has been established in order to serve the childcare needs of the members of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and the community. At Little Lambs, the director, assistant director, and teachers strive to model Christ’s love, and our program encourages children to enjoy God’s splendor through their own eyes and within their hearts.
