Safety & Security

Choosing a childcare provider is a huge decision, and we know it can be difficult to entrust your child in someone else’s care. At Little Lambs, our number one priority is the safety and security of our children and staff at all times. Through attentive supervision, secure entry protocols, detailed emergency procedures, and a well-trained staff, we maintain a structured, caring environment where families can feel confident their children are safe, protected, and supported.

Staff and Training

Prior to employment at St. Barnabas, all staff members are required to pass a background check and complete the Safeguarding God’s Children training with the Episcopal Diocese. All Little Lambs staff members are CPR/First Aid certified and must renew their certification every two years. Experience in childcare or education is required for all teacher positions, and many of our teachers hold college degrees and various certifications. Staff training meetings, emergency preparedness drills, and professional development opportunities are just a few of the ways our staff members refresh their skills and stay up to date on the best practices to ensure Little Lambs is always a safe, loving environment.

At Little Lambs, we are committed to providing transparency and open communication with parents at all times. To enhance this, we utilize the Procare childcare app which allows our staff to provide real-time updates for each child throughout the day. Parents will receive updates for their child’s bottles, diaper checks and changes, potty training, snacks, lunch, and naptime, and are able to direct message our directors during MDO hours. We also utilize Procare for incident documentation and billing for registration fee and monthly tuition payments.
